Cleaning your home takes both time and effort but there are always little things you could do around the house that will guarantee that your house stays “clean enough” throughout the week.
For today’s post, Matic will be sharing with you everyday tips for keeping a clean house with minimum time and effort involved.
Don’t Let Things Pile Up
From laundry to dishes, make sure that you don’t let things pile up. The bigger the stack of dishes or load of laundry, the more time you’ll need to get around to taking care of it. Remember, washing a few dishes and glasses takes only a few minutes as opposed to washing a whole stack.
Wipe Surfaces Occasionally
Make sure you wipe down the sink once you are done using it. This also applies to other surfaces you use around the house such as kitchen counters and oven tops. The less dirt and dust accumulated there, the faster the job will be done.
Design A “Decluttering” Plan
Some areas around the house require your attention more than others. Those are the areas where you and your family use the most such as your kids’ rooms and the living room. Make sure you keep aside a few minutes throughout the day to tidy them up. This will leave your house looking tidy and clean.
Accessorize Your Home Wisely
A couple of mats at the outside and the inside of your door will help reduce dirt inside the house. Also, layering decorative rugs and throws on your carpets and couches is a simple yet brilliant idea as they are easy to change and clean. Moreover, hangers and hooks that are placed at the entrance of your home are very effective in keeping the clutter inside your home at bay.
Disperse Your Cleaning Supplies
Instead of keeping all your cleaning supplies in one cabinet, try to spread them out in “accident-prone” areas to be able to get to them easily whenever they are needed.
Be A Conscious Shopper
The more “stuff” you buy for the house, the more mess there will be. Make sure you always prepare a list of what you need before you head out to the supermarket or the department store, this will also help you better organize your shopping items once you get back.
