Christmas is just around the corner and it’s time to get ready for a warm, cozy and fun Christmas Eve. You have your tree up, the decorations are setting the mood, the gifts are under the tree waiting to be unwrapped and all you need to do before your guests arrive is get the cleaning out of the way.
To help put you in the holiday cleaning mood, I will be sharing with you today some cleaning tips to get your home ready for the holiday cheers.
Divide & Conquer
With only a few days until Christmas blesses us with its warm presence, you should start distributing your cleaning and organizing chores (since leaving everything to the last minute will surely suck the fun out of your holiday). Decide which rooms you need to tackle first and divide them by days and start cleaning. It makes sense to concentrate on the areas that guests will be spending time in the most.
Check Glassware & Silverware
With all the cleaning you have to do, you might forget to check your glassware for spots and stains. You can add vinegar to water while washing to get glassware to shine and you can use potato skins to get rid of stubborn mineral stains. If your silverware is dull, you can use banana peels to bring shine to it as well.
Clean Out the Fridge
Get your fridge ready for leftover food by cleaning it out, deodorizing it and tidying it up.
After you are done with cleaning the insides of your home, make sure you remember to sweep the entryway, clean the front door (including the doorknob) and decorate the entry with some Christmas touches. You can also use some scented candles around the house for a calming and soothing ambiance.
I really hope my tips make a difference around your home this holiday. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas to each and every one of you. Enjoy it to the max!
