Some of you probably had to think about the question and come up with a list for what you are grateful for. We tend to get caught up with our day-to-day busy lives that we forget to give thanks for the small things that make such a big difference in our day, such as a hot cup of coffee, or feeling the warmth of the sun on our skin.
Thanksgiving is not only about a yummy dinner and one mean roasted turkey it is also about other values such as gratitude, love and generosity.
Gratitude is a simple but effective method for a good life. Many spiritualists and even some doctors claim practicing gratitude increases happiness almost immediately and opens the door for more abundance in our life. Give thanks for waking up first thing in the morning, for having a bed, for being able to enjoy at least one warm meal a day. We often take these things for granted not knowing that in an instant we may lose it all to be left with nothing. Just learning to appreciate what we have around us will make us feel more grounded, more modest and most importantly happier. As we start to realise how truly blessed and lucky we are to have what we have for some people have nothing.
Again, give thanks for your home, your living space and for the fact that you have access to the Internet so you can read this post. It is simple and easy as the ABC!
