As part of my dedication to sharing with you useful information for a cleaner, cozier home, I will be sharing with you some natural and effective oven cleaning tips that will surely make a difference in your oven cleaning technique.
What You Will Need:
A rag or a dishcloth
A spray bottle
First things first, make sure you pick a day when you won’t be needing to use the oven.
Put on your rubber gloves and have everything you need ready by your side.
Take out the oven racks (and anything else you have inside such as a pizza stone) and set them aside.
Make a natural cleaning paste by mixing in some baking soda with the warm water. Usually, 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda should do the trick.
Use the paste you have prepared as a spread to coat the insides of your oven. The longer you leave in the baking soda, the better the results, so be patient. It usually takes around 12 hours for the baking soda to do its magic.
While you wait for the paste to do its job, clean your oven racks.
After the 12-hour period, your oven is will be ready for a clean out. Use a rag or a dishcloth to remove the baking soda paste.
To remove any paste residue, spray some vinegar and wipe with the cloth. You can also use a silicone spatula in this step.
To clean the oven window, use the same baking soda paste and let it sit for 30 minutes. Wipe it off using the same method above.
Put back your oven racks and you are all set!
* To make sure your oven is dry after cleaning, you can turn on the heat inside on low for 10-15 minutes.
