When you’re living in Dubai, there’s no avoiding the sand. A day at Kite Beach, a weekend in the desert – you’re bound to create a sandy mess. It can stick anywhere – in your shoes, your clothes, and your bags – and trail back home with you.
This can be frustrating for anyone – especially for those of you who have children. Read on to get our top tips for cleaning up.
1 – This is a no brainer – shake out sand from all your belongings: towels, shoes, sunscreen, cooler, chair…
2 – Wipe your sunscreen, sunglass boxes, books, magazines, cellphone… with baby wipes or sanitized wipes.
3 –Here’s a tip we haven’t tried yet: apparently, applying baby powder to your hair and body can remove all the sand and greases (from oils, sunscreens…)
4 – Dry sand can also help remove wetter sand (on your body or feet) before you get dressed.
5– If all else fails – and for the compulsive cleaners among you – there is a growing number of specialty products that you can buy to help you wipe off the sand.
