Little boys are fun to be around; they are full of life, ideas and are always up for a new game or project! In my pervious post about babysitting, I wrote about activities you can do while babysitting kids in general. To spice things up, I will share with you another list on how to babysit boys in particular.
Get Busy Building
Many boys just love their vehicles, mine is one of them! He can literally spend hours playing with his trucks and cars and loves putting together train tracks and making up imaginary roads. A parking garage made out of a cereal box and toilet paper rolls is just one idea you can get busy with while babysitting a boy.
Play Sports With Him
Little boys are very active; sometimes a little too active for my taste! However, a great way to pass time while babysitting a boy is to do some physical activities with him such as playing a simple game of hide and seek. If the weather is warm outside, you can take him out and have a water balloon fight, kick the ball around, play catch or tag and do some outdoor painting with him.
Challenge Him at A Video Game
For older boys, video games can often do the trick. Choose a multiplayer video game that the boy enjoys and challenge him to beat you at it. Make sure you let him win sometimes as that boosts his confidence and allows him to enjoy playing against you more. Ask the parents if they don’t mind though, some parents have strict rules when it comes to video games.
Let Him Explore
All kids love nature but little boys love getting dirty in nature the most! If possible, take the boy out to the park or to the garden and let him explore nature, play with sand and water, build sand castles, play with the mud and watch the time slip away!
